GMI offers a complete line of specialized work stations designed for use in auto and engine labs., from tear down work stations with fluid drains to small engine bench mounted stands.

Instructor Work Stations
Built from heavy gauge steel and featuring welded construction these units are built to last, GMI’s shop desk and instructor stations are available in several configurations including open and closed base models.
Cantilever Benches
The GMI Cantilever rack based workbench is a unique design combining a material storage rack with a sturdy work bench. These workstations are ideal for areas that are limited on space and require the storage of materials in the work area.
The shelf arms are adjustable to accommodate different materials. Benches are available in a variety of sizes and top configurations.

Engine Stands
GMI’s engine run and rotation stands are available is several configurations. All welded construction and durable components will ensure years of use.
The GMR-1100-HD rotation stand was selected for the GM High performance engine build program, and all Z06 Corvette engines are manufactured on this stand.

Transmission Rotation
Available in several configurations, GMI’s transmission rotation stand features a 360 rotation with locking. Its universal mounting brackets accommodate most standard transmission manufacturers.

Engine Rotation Stands
Available in several configurations, GMI’s rotation stand features a gear reduction drive and position lock. It features a stainless steel fluid catch pan with drain and a 3″ diameter main shaft that supports most standard engine loads. These stands are used to build engines for several hi-profile American sports car manufacturers.

Engine Run Stands
GMI’s heavy duty universal engine run stands are available in several models to accommodate most gas and diesel engines. Heavy all welded construction and a universal slide motor mount make fitting this stand to your application an easy project.

Tool Panels and Racking
GMI’s portable bumper racks are constructed from 11 gauge steel welded channel uprights for superior strength. The base is mounted on heavy duty 5” casters, two rigid and two swivel for easy transport around the shop. 12 adjustable shelf arms for maximum storage capabilities.

Tire Racks
GMI’s rack units are constructed from formed 13 gauge steel uprights and are standard with 12 gauge steel shelves. These racks will accommodate most standard automotive tire and rims. Available as either a stationary, or a portable rack this design is capable of supporting 400 lb per shelf. Floor anchor pads are standard on stationary racks.

Tool Panels
GMI offers a number of size and material configurations. Panels are 16 gauge steel (available in stainless steel) and are standard with a .375″ square hole pattern on 1.5″ centers. Panels can be wall, cabinet, or cart mounted.
