Recap: 3D Printing Post-Processing Workshops

Last week we headed stopped off at several locations throughout Virginia and West Virginia, including BridgeValley Community & Technical College, Liberty University, the Virginia Beach Advanced Technology Center, and Arlington Public Schools Career Center for some fun 3D printing post-processing professional development workshops.

While we covered a few different post-processing techniques, the main focus of the workshop was to show educators how to create silicone molds around 3D printed parts — and how to bring this lesson plan back to their classrooms.

A big part of creating these molds is designing them using CAD software. Here is a tutorial on how we designed our molds using SolidWorks.

We had a great time last week. These photos show you how our molds turned out!
